Green vegetable smoothie

A thickie is just a heartier version of a smoothie, so it makes a great breakfast choice. This one is loaded with spinach, kale, banana and rolled oats

Ingredient

    • a large handful spinach
    • a large handful kale
    • 1 large banana
    • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
    • (or other plant milk) 150ml, plus a little extra oat milk
    • 3 tbsp rolled oats
    • 1 tbsp flax seeds
    • to serve ice

Instructions

    Put all of the ingredients except the ice into a blender or food processor and whizz until smooth, adding a little extra oat milk if it’s too thick to drink. Pour the thickie into two glasses with ice and drink straight away.
